ABOUT BRENDAN
My roots in this city run deep; having been proud to attend Attleboro public schools and having called this city home. I graduated in 2013 with my Bachelors in City and Regional Planning from Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) and in 2017 with my Masters in Facility Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology. Since 2016 I have worked in the urban planning profession gaining nearly a decade of experience on the key issues facing communities across the Commonwealth. For over 6 years I volunteered as a committee member for Greater Boston Habitat for Humanity and since buying our home in Attleboro, I have taken that experience and volunteered in our community serving as a Board member of the Attleboro Redevelopment Authority and a local advocate for smart policies on housing, economic development, and the environment. I am also an active member of my church, serving as both a lay minister and member of the vestry governing board. Outside of work and my volunteer time you’ll usually find me taking our dog Revan for hikes on our city’s many trails, working in the yard, or serving as the commissioner of our fantasy football league. I am running for Attleboro City Council because I believe my professional and volunteer experience will help me to be a valuable voice on the important issues that come before our city government. A community is strongest when we treat each other as neighbors; respecting and looking out for each other and working towards smart and responsible growth that respects our character and our future. At the end of the day we all want a city government that respects our tax dollars, delivers safe roads and good schools, and gives everyone a seat at the table. I believe that the most important thing a city councilor can do is to hear what you have to say and what you care about, because government works better when it listens - it works best when we all get a voice. Attleboro is a city that understands the value of hard work; and I’m ready to get to work for you. |
